We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

I am looking for references on the 7-tone system of Taiwanese.
Specifically, are Tones 7 and 8 allotones of the same tonemes as,
respectively, 3 and 4 (or 4 and 3)? A reply addressed to me or to the
student who is working on this, tsueifen at falcon.cc.ukans.edu, would be
greatly appreciated.

I would urgently need to get in touch with any universities which have
already designed and/or implemented a full, interactive curriculum of
English as a Second or Foreign Language for college students in World
Wide Web format (html, java, etc.), either as an local Intranet-based
solution or a fully-accessible system from the Internet.

I will appreciate any useful URL related to this matter. I will share
all the information I receive with those who send me any hints.
Thanks in advance.
