LOT Winter School 1997
Nijmegen, 13 - 24 January
Enclosed are the programme and enrollment forms of the
PhD Winter School at Nijmegen organized by LOT (Landelijke
Onderzoekschool Taalwetenschap), a cooperation of the research
institutes CLS, HIL, IFOTT, and OTS.
- CLS, Center for Language Studies (KUB, KUN, MPI);
- IFOTT, Instituut voor Functioneel Onderzoek van Taal en Taalgebruik
(RUL, UvA, VU);
- HIL, Holland Institute of Generative Linguistics (RUL, UvA, VU);
- OTS, Onderzoeksinstituut voor Taal en Spraak (UU).
Also participating in the organisation of the Winter School are
the Center for Language and Communication (CLC, UU) and Groningen
Graduate School for Behavioral and Cognitive Neurosciences (BCN, RUG).

*Location:*
The courses will be held at Nijmegen University, Faculty of Arts
(Letterenfaculteit). Details will follow after registration.
*Credit:*
Full credit (120hrs.) is given if the course is completed with a
paper. In other cases people can obtain certificates on the basis of
participation (40 hrs.), which may require a short assignment.
*Costs:*
Admission is free for those students (AIO's/OIO's/grants) which are
officially affiliated with an institute that participates in LOT or
have an agreement with LOT. Others are requested to pay fl. 350,= a
week not including lodging.
*Lodging:*
The local organizer has made reservations for lodging for those LOT
AIO's/OIO's/grants who need to stay at Nijmegen. Those who wish to
make use of this arrangement should fill out the separate form
attached to this message, and send, before November 15, to the
LOT-secretariat at the above address. For those of you that are not
officially part of LOT, the organization will help to find lodging for
you. Please, also fill out the separate form if you want to make use
of this arrangement.
*Enrollment:*
The enrollment forms should be returned to Utrecht before November 15.
Enrollment after this date will endanger the possibilities of
admittance to the courses. Note that LOT AIO's/OIO's have to fill in
two forms. Enrollment form 1 should be sent to Jan Don at the above
address, enrollment form 2 to the graduate programme supervisor of
your institute.

Course descriptions and enrollment forms can be obtained in two
different ways:
