To those who might be interested in the Ninth Lake Erie Teachers of
Japanese (LETJ) Conference:
 
The following is the tentative schedule for the conference to be held
on 5-6 April, 1997.  If you are interested in or planning to submit an
abstract of your paper, please plan for a 20 minute presentation
followed by a 10 minute discussion.  This will be strictly observed.
If you are not currently on the LETJ conference mailing list please
send an e-mail message to yukijohn at umich.edu indicating your address,
e-mail address, and phone/fax numbers.  Transportation and lodging
information will also be available later.

PREREGISTRATION DEADLINE: The Preregistration deadline for SLRF '96
is:

Orders AND payment for box lunches for Friday and Saturday afternoon
MUST be received by this date.
 
ACCOMODATIONS DEADLINE: Reservations at the Plaza must be made by Sept
23 in order to receive the conference price.  After this date the
hotel will no longer hold any rooms remaining in the SLRF block of
rooms.  October 25-27 is also Parents' Weekend at the Univertisy of
Arizona, so it is important that accomodation arrangements are made in
advance.
