Am Institut fuer maschinelle Sprachverarbeitung der Universitaet
Stuttgart (IMS-CL) ist zum 1.5.97  oder spaeter die Stelle einer
wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiterin oder eines
wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiters BAT-IIa im Arbeitsbereich
Textcorpora/NLP-Lexika zu besetzen, zunaechst bis Ende 1997, mit einer
moeglichen mittelfristigen Verlaengerung, je nach Projektlage.

Geeignete Bewerberinnen oder Bewerber haben ein Diplom in Informatik
oder Computerlinguistik (oder einen vergleichbaren Abschluss),
Programmiererfahrung in C und/oder Perl. Zusaetzliche Kenntnisse in
C++, Java oder Javascript sind ein Vorteil, aber keine Bedingung
fuer die Einstellung.

Die Stelle ist fuer die Arbeit in einem Projekt zur terminologischen
Erschliessung von Fachtextmaterial und zum Aufbau von Termbanken
vorgesehen. Bewerberinnen oder Bewerber mit Erfahrung im Bereich
Termbanken und Terminologie sind im Vorteil.

IMPORTANT:

JOB OPENING

The Mental Lexicon research group (host university: Universite de
Montreal) has a position open for a Post-doctoral fellow in Montreal.
Candidate must have a Ph.D in Linguistics, with a specialization in
psycho and/or neurolinguistics. The fellowship is a one-year position
TO BE FILLED IMMEDIATELY. Starting date June 1, 1997.  Salary set
according to norms in force at the Universite de Montreal.

The candidate should be interested in conducting cross-language
research on the mental lexicon as part of an international
collaborative research initiative. In addition, the candidate will be
expected to take part in supervision of graduate students working on
the project.
