Subject:  ethnography and adult ESL

Fellow subscribers,

I am working on a graduate degree in ESL at Purdue Univ.  I have
recently become interested in ethnography and its utility
in studying ESL program (particularly adult programs).  I have
a theoretical discussion by Watson-Gegeo (1988) but have been unable
to locate any more articles or books (theoretical or actual studies
done with this methodology).

Does anyone have any refrences for this combination.  Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Subject:  Acquisition of punctuation

Hi,

I am researching children's acquisition of (English) punctuation and
would be most grateful if anyone could enlighten me as to any of the
following:-
1) Are there any like-minded souls out there?
2) References concerning the paraphrasing of questions, especially to
subjects who are between 5 and 8 years of age.
3) References about, and examples of, sentences which can be
disambiguated with punctuation.
4) Any interesting uses of punctuation.
