A student of mine is conducting research on "Sheng", a language used
by young people in Nairobi and best known for its words composed of
English and Swahili elements combined. Can anyone direct us to
published descriptions of or references to Sheng, other than Fee and
Moja, 1997, _Dictionary Ya Sheng_?

I am interested in Chinese riddles of the kind dependent upon analysis
of character components. I read about these many years ago in the
missionary journal, THE CHINESE RECORDER, and would like to
investigate some of the current references described in Linguist on
line by Feng-lan Kuo. How can I find them? Is there an e-mail address
for Kuo? Does anyone have any other references I may be able to
consult? Any suggestions will be most appreciated. Ruth W.

Could somebody give some information or bibliography about
works that apply tools of Generative Linguistics to the modeling of the
Common Sense in Artificial Intelligence ?
