the bremen comitative-typology research group is urgently
looking for translations of antoine de saint-exupery's
le petit prince in the languages of the world. we already
have quite a few translations at hand, but the following
items are still missing (and our special book-shop cannot
guarantee to get hold of them):

* I apoligize for any double posting for people on the corpora list.

	I am working on a cross-linguistic investigation of the mental
lexicon. Many of my co-researchers have difficulty building lexical
decision tasks because they don't have frequency lists for their language
of interest. Could anyone give me information on frequency lists
(of any kind) for Polish, Turkish, Greek and Bulgarain? Also, if you know
of a frequency list for English, other than Kuchera and Francis, please
send me that information too.

Subject:  Language change - German

A friend, who is a philologist rather than a linguist, has asked me to
let him know if the Berlin Wall led to wider divergence in the use of
foreign languages or varieties of German; wider than might normally
have been the case.
I will pass on information which reaches me; and summarise should that be
called for.
