HUMOR ON THE INTERNET
Call for participants

Participants are sought for a panel on HUMOR ON THE INTERNET for the
International Society of Humor Studies conference to be held in
Edmond, Oklahoma July 8-13, 1997. The scope of the panel will be
interdisciplinary, as is the conference as a whole. Papers should
present scholarly research that reveals something about the role of
humor in on-line interaction, or about the nature and processes of
humor more generally, as revealed through on-line interaction. Anyone
conducting research in these areas who is interested in participating
in such a panel is requested to e-mail a brief description of their
proposed presentation to susan at utafll.uta.edu ASAP, or by February 8
at the latest. The deadline for submitting panel proposals for ISHS
is February 18, 1997.

Please distribute this call to others who may be interested.
