This collection of twenty papers bears out the defining character-
istics of current research in Germanic Linguistics, such as a strong
pursuit of historical data with a preference for phonology, and a
strong pursuit of morphology/syntax with a preference for modern
data. A richness of approaches is likewise evident. Classic research
problems of Germanic linguistics are not abandoned; they are indeed
avidly pursued in the light of developing pluralism in contemporary
method-ological insights, hence the subtitle of this work.
