Subject:  Postdoctoral Research Position at Rutgers

The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers, The State University of New
Jersey, at New Brunswick, and the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science
are jointly soliciting applicants for a position of postdoctoral
Research Assistant, with a term running from July 1, 1997 - June 30, 1998.

Applicants must have the Ph. D. and a research specialization in
computational Optimality Theory. Applicants with publications and
other forms of demonstrated research expertise in the area will be
preferred.

Applications should be accompanied by samples of recent work and a
list of three potential referees. The deadline for receipt of
application materials is April 1, 1997.

(Corrected version of an announcement dated March 14)

Wonkwang University Language Center located in Iksan, Chonbuk
(southwestern part of South Korea) is looking for a few qualified
native speakers of English.  They will be expected to teach English
conversation 20 hours a week, which may include regular university
classes.  The salary and benefits include 1,500,000 won (Korean currency) a
month (severance pay included), a university-owned furnished
apartment(double occupancy), medical insurance and overtime payment
(20,000 won an hour).

Qualifications:	Master's degree in any field or Bachelor's degree in
                English, English Education, TESOL, Linguistics
		ESL teaching certificate
		Teaching experience in English

Applications:	a resume with 1 color photo (passport size)
		certificates of all degrees (or copies of all diplomas)
		transcripts of all degrees
		2 letters of reference
