The names of Etruscan numerals were found on dice in tombs and
are given as:

MACH CI THU HUTH SA ZAL

These are thought to represent the numbers 1-6 but it is not known
which word means which number.

I have provisionally identified them as 1 HUTH 2 THU 3 MACH 4 ZAL
5 CI 6 SA

Does anyone know on which sides of the dice the different numbers
were placed? The positions may help to confirm or disconfirm the
identifications. HUTH+SA=7 ZAL+MACH=7 CI+THU=7.

Hi, linguists,

A student of mine is coducting a study of L2 effects on
L1. There are many articles on L1 effects on L2, but I am having
difficulty finding articles onthe role of interfering effects of
the second language on the native language. If you have any
information about the topic, would you please respond directly
to: <todaka at funatsuka.miyazaki-mu.ac.jp>.

Thanks in advance,
