I am a Ph.D. student researching the linguistic relationship between
Putonghua (Mandarin spoken in Mainland China) and Mandarin spoken in
Taiwan. I would appreciate if anyone who has read articles relating to
this area could inform me of the same. I would like to know what and
how much has been down in relation to the aforsaid research.

I would also appreciate if any of you could email me your intuition on
the relationship between Putonghua and Mandarin spoken in Taiwan. Do
you notice any differences between Putonghua and Mandarin spoken in
Taiwan? If so, what are the differences you have noticed?

Thanks in advance for your favourable response.

Susan

Please forward me any information where I can obtain books on the vowels and
consonant pronunciation in the American and Canadian languages. I would be
highly appreciative if this information can be sent to me as soon as
possible.

Thank you
Miss A Singh
