The Speech, Language & Literacy Centre in Edgecliff, Sydney NSW,

Pathologist. Experience in working with children who have learning

TEACHING OF ENGLISH As a Foreign Language

Center for Foreign Languages, Chiba University, Japan


The Center for Foreign Languages of Chiba University, a national
university located near Tokyo, is currently seeking candidates for one
full-time post in teaching of English as a foreign langauge, to
commence on October 1, 1998.

Post:
Lecturer or associate professor

The annual salary for lecturers currently ranges from 4,360,000 to
5,000,000 yen and for associate professors from 6,690,000 to 7,500,000
yen.

Duties:
Minimum responsibilities include teaching 5 classes a week and
participation in faculty meetings.

Qualifications:
1) A native speaker of English.

2) Doctorate degree is preferred with a demonstration of expertise in
either teaching English as a foreign/second language or second
language acquisition at the university level.

The following documents are required:
1) Curriculum vitae, including a list of publications.

2) Three of the applicant's most recent publications. (Master's theses
and doctoral dissertations can be submitted).

3) Health certification. Candidates living in Japan are required to
obtain documentation at a national or public hospital. Candidates
living abroad may supply such certification as is appropriate.

The deadline for applications is August 17, 1998. (In the case of
those applying from outside Japan, the application should be
postmarked not later than August 17,$B!!(J1998.)
