The Indigenous Afrikan Kalendar is a project concerned with the
preservation of indigenous African calendars as these cultural systems
of noting annual time are quickly being forgotten in the presence of
both Islamic and Western cultures.  As annual time keeping is a major
aspect of any culture, it is surprising how the discipline of cultural
anthropology has generally overlooked the recording of this essential
feature in the study of both African an non-African societies.  Thus,
the purpose of the Indigenous Afrikan Kalendar is to make available
the indigenous cultural calendar information of various African
societies.

The following ethnicities are currently being sought after for
obtaining their indigenous names of the months and seasons and the
meanings of those names.  However, Songhai and Saharan ethnicities of
the Nilo-Saharan language family are being sought after in general for
obtaining this information.


Kanuri
Teda
Tuareg
Zaghawa
Zarma

Any leads or assistance in obtaining this information would be greatly
appreciated.

Sehr geehrte Kolleginnen und Kollegen!

Bitte beziehen Sie Stellung zu folgendem Problem:
Was ist Subjekt, was Praedikat im folgenden Satz?

"Das sind Tatsachen."

Es existieren bereits folgende Vorschlaege:

a)(nach Thema-Rhema): "Das" ist das thematischere Element dieses Satzes;
es referiert auf Vorerwaehntes. Daher ist "Das" das Subjekt, "Tatsachen"
das Praedikativ.

b) (nach Kongruenz): Subjekt und Praedikat kongruieren im Deutschen in
Kasus, Numerus und Genus. Zwischen "sind" und "Tatsachen" liegt
Numeruskongruenz vor, zwischen "sind" und "Das" jedoch nicht. Daher ist
"Tatsachen" das Subjekt dieses Satzes.
Gegenargument zu b): Zu "das" gibt es im Deutschen keine Pluralform, es
kann jedoch durchaus einen notionalen Plural darstellen.

Ich freue mich auf Ihre Beitraege, ich werde sie in ein Seminar an der
Universitaet Muenchen einbringen.
