1. Syntax. The Department of Linguistics at Harvard University has been
authorized to make a two-semester appointment (one visitor @ two semesters
or two visitors @ one semester) in generative syntax or the
syntax/semantics interface, rank open, for 1998-99.  Three years
post-doctoral teaching experience preferred. Applicants are requested to
send a detailed curriculum vitae (including a complete bibliography) and
have three letters of recommendation forwarded by the deadline of Monday,
March 2, 1998, to

core areas of theoretical phonology and syntax, including but not limited
