Subject:  Danish phonetics and phonology

Could anybody recommend a survey of Danish phonetics and phonology
that is reasonably modern, covers the major regional variations, and
does not assume that the reader already has a good idea of the sounds
of Danish?

Ideally in English, but in German or Danish would be OK.

What I really want is a Danish version of Daniel Jones' book on the
pronunciation of English, but that's probably a bit much to ask.

Questions of particular interest are the vowel space in the front
unrounded area, particularly orthographic <e>, <ae>, <a> with and
without adjacent <r>, and the realization of <d>, which to me sounds
lateral in word-final (at least) position, but which is not described
as lateral in any of my introductory Danish materials.

NUER:

I'm looking for people who have worked on Nuer or Dinka.  I'm
researching noun morphology and could use any help offered relating to
better understanding the phonology and phonetics of the vowel system.


TYPING IN ARABIC:

I'm aware that there was a whole conference announced on the subject,
but I had quite a time finding an appropriate Arabic word processor.
If anyone would like to benefit from my legwork, I'm more than happy
