"Macintosh Applications for the Classical Philology").


This book offers information on computer applications of interest for
students, researchers and scholars in the field of Classics (ancient Greek
and Latin), including papyrologists and epigraphists. It also contains a
long section that examines the existing text databases (TLG, PHI, CETEDOC
CD-ROMs, etc) and bibliographic databases (DBC, Dyabola, etc), even when
the retrieval software is not implemented for the Macintosh platform. It
deals extensively with font and keyboard issues, and other aspects of the
personal computer use that are most likely to appeal the philologist or
linguist working with ancient Greek or Latin texts.
