Bell Labs, the research and development arm of Lucent Technologies is
interested in hiring qualified candidates with a background in
Computational Linguistics to expand its research effort in its
Dialogue Systems Research and Language Modeling Research departments.

Bell Labs has an active research program in areas related to
human-machine communication including: automatic speech recognition
and understanding; human-machine dialogue; text-to-speech synthesis;
document image analysis and conversion; media conversion
(e.g. fax-to-speech). All of this work is done at the main Bell Labs
facility in Murray Hill, New Jersey, USA.

We are particularly interested in interviewing candidates with
research experience in the following areas:

- Statistical language modeling
- Parsing
- Text summarization
