Subject:  ESL: Teaching Position in Tianjin University of Technology

Tianjin University of Technology needs a fulltime English teacher
beginning this September to teach English as a second
language. Applicants must be a native speaker of English, with a
college degree, preferably in TESOL or English. The salary would be at
least 2,000 RMB/month (around $300 US), with a free apartment and
round-trip air tickets. Tianjin is the third largest city in China,
about 80 miles from Beijing. Life there would be convenient. A team of
husband and wife who are both qualified are encouraged to apply. If

Subject:  TESL: Lecturer/Asst Prof at Ibaraki U., Mito, Japan

Applications are currently being accepted for the position of English
lecturer or associate professor in the Department of Communication
Studies at Ibaraki University, Mito, Japan beginning April 1st, 2000
for one to three years (non-renewable).

This position is open to native speakers of English holding an M.A. or
Ph.D. in TESL/TEFL or closely related fields such as Applied
Linguistics, Linguistics, English Literature, or Speech Communication.
A minimum of 2 years' ESL/EFL experience and three publications are
required.

Teaching load: approximately six 90-minute periods per week Salary:
based on academic and professional experience (minimum 4,420,000
yen/year)
