A set of adult and child data in Belfast English, containing
(orthographical) transcriptions of around 130 hours' of speech, is
now available on the CHILDES database. We are posting details
here as, in addition to child data, this also contains numerous adult-
adult conversations which may be of interest to those working on
syntax, dialects of English, or discourse. The data, collected as
part of an ESRC funded research project, is available to download
from CHILDES (http://childes..psy.cmu.edu) - the file is called
Belfast.sit (for Mac) or Belfast.zip (for Windows)
