Dear colleagues:
I am trying to find a copy of Henrietta Cedergren's 'Panama
revisited: Sound change in real time' presented at NWAVE 1984 in
Philadelphia. If you or someone you know has a copy, could you mail it to
the address below.
Thanks,

An excellent student of ours is interested in pursuing graduate studies in
linguistics, and is especially interested in the topic of linguistic and
cultural reconstruction. (Her undergraduate subjects are anthropology and
linguistics.) Are there still graudate programs in linguistics which have
a historical/comparative focus, at least as an option? A related question
would be: in some institutions is there a relatively close relationship
between linguists and anthropologists?

I would welcome personal replies or replies to the list.

Thank you,
