                    Doctoral Fellowships
       Graduiertenkolleg Sprachliche Repräsentationen
                  und ihre Interpretation
                  University of Stuttgart

The GKSRI at the University of Stuttart announces the
opening of competetion for twelve fellowships to be awarded
in the year 2000. The Kolleg is a structured doctoral
program in linguistics and computational linguistics which
is to be funded by the DFG starting in May, 2000. It
emphasizes linguistic theory and computational methodology
for linguistic research.

Up to six fellowships for participation in the doctoral
program will begin in May 2000 (start of summer semester)
and up to six additional fellowships in November (start
of winter semester). Candidates for both dates should
participate in the present competition. Deadline for
application is January 25, 2000.
