Linguistics/Applied Linguistics Position

The Department of Applied Language Studies at Brock University invites
applications for a limited-term appointment, subject to final
budgetary approval, in Linguistics or Applied Linguistics, effective
July 1, 2000, at the rank of Assistant Professor.  Candidates should
hold the Ph.D. degree (ABD considered) in Linguistics or Applied
Linguistics, with experience teaching in 2 of the following areas:
Introductory Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, or TESL (Teaching English
as a Second Language).  The successful candidate is expected to
participate in the academic and administrative activities of the
department.

Screening of applications will begin March 1/2000.
