Is looking for Leadership in Linguistics Program

Job Description:

Applicants will be expected to:

* play a leading role in further enhancing the high profile of the
  institute as the only key program in linguistics and applied
  linguistics accredited by the state and in upgrading the program to
  the standard in North America;
* provide courses at the MA degree level and the Ph.D degree level;
* perform, stimulate and supervise research in the areas such as
  syntax, language acquisition and psycholinguistics, among others;
* attune and assure the academic quality of the research and education;
* maintain and develop international contacts.

The job is on a renewable two-year contract basis.

Qualifications:

(1) Ph.D. degree in linguistics, preferably from a North American University;
(2) A comprehensive research experience, evident in publications;
(3) Demonstrable qualities of leadership;
(4) The area of specialization is open, but preference will be given
    to those in theoretical linguistics, language acquisition, syntax and
    psycholinguistics.

Benefits:

(1) 100,000 Yuan (approximately 12,000 U.S. dollars) a year as a
    special honored professorship;
(2) plus a monthly salary (12 months) of 4,000 Yuan (approximately 500
    U.S dollars);
(3) plus free housing (a two-bedroom flat);
(4) plus free medic care;
(5) plus the air tickets for the applicant and his/her spouse;
(6) plus other benefits enjoyed by the staff members of the university.
