The 1999 Central Association of Teachers of Japanese (CATJ) conference
will be held at the EMU Corporate Education Center on April 16 & 17,
1999.

The following is the conference schedule.  The theme of the conference
is "The Future of Japanese Language Education: Toward the 21st
Century".  This year's keynote speakers are Jessica Thurrott,
President of the National Council of the Japanese Language Teachers
(NCJLT), and Laurel Rasplica Rodd, President of the Association of
Teachers of Japanese (ATJ).  The information regarding hotel, travel
and registration will be available after February 16 via:
