Dear Linguists,
About a month ago, I posted a query on those studies of Serial Verbs
Constructions. A flood of references rushed in, and my computer has
become the stroehouse of SVCs references. I suspect there must be
hundreds of items of references even though there might be some
overlaps. Those studies assume different theorecitcal modals and are
based on a wide range of languages. I must show my deepest gratitude to
the following friends:
Elizabeth Grace Winkler;
Christopher D. Manning;
Dr. Peter G. LIU;
Martha McGinnis
Rich Campbell
Eric Schiller
Annabel Cormack
Asya Pereltsvaig
Marc Picard
Note: I have tried to contact Eric Schiller, but in vain. What's more, I
think that there might be more friends who may want to send me further
discussions and references but lose track of my post. I hope this
summary will induce more discussions and references on SVCs.

Due to the large pile of references, I think it is foolish for me to
paste them here since it will cost those friends who have no interest in
SVCs a lot of time reading. Having this in mind, I'd like to recommend
those friends and linguists who have some interest in SVCs studies refer
to me directly, and I will forward that file edited in word format or
RTF to you.

Many thanks again.

Li Rulai
