I am seeking an individual within the following conditions:

I represent a leading aggregator, integrator, and syndicator of
value-added and real-time news sources for the worlds leading
financial and business information distributors. My client currently
leads the industry by setting the standard for comprehensive and
compelling content and electronically enabled metadata for business
news and analysis. Currently, they are looking for a Senior Programmer
to join their Information Technology development team. In this role,
an individual will work as part of a team to build a new real-time
news processing system to broadcast on the Internet. The ideal
candidate will have at least 3 years of programming experience with at
least 2 years of Windows NT programming in C++. Prior experience
working with Visual Basic and SQL Server is a plus. For the right
person, the salary can go as high as $80,000 with generous bonuses and
a great benefits package.

General Linguistics/ Wellesley College

The Language Studies Program at Wellesley College invites applications
for a part-time, non-tenure track, visiting assistant professor
position. The position is for the 1999-2000 academic year, with the
possibility of renewal.  The successful candidate must show evidence
of considerable teaching skill at the undergraduate level and must be
able to assure the core curriculum in linguistics, which includes the
introductory course, intermediate courses in phonetics and phonology
and/or syntax and semantics, and advanced courses in the candidate's
area of specialization.  Wellesley College is an EO/AA educational
institution and employer; successful candidates must be able to work
effectively in a culturally diverse environment.  Applications from
women, minorities, veterans, and candidates with disabilities are
encouraged.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in linguistics
Area of specialization: Open, though special attention will be paid
to candidates with backgrounds in historical linguistics,
sociolinguistics, and/or phonetics.
Duties: Two courses per semester
