Subject:  ESL Instructor at Kwangju Women's University, Korea

Kwangju Women's University seeks a one-year, full-time English
instructor. Candidates must be native speakers of English.  Those who
have a master's degree in TESL or a related area (linguistics,
English) are preferred.

The monthly pay is 1,500,000 won for bachelor's and 1,700,000 won for
master's. It amounts to 18,000,000 and 20,400,000 won (approximately
U$15,000 and 17,000) a year.  Duty hours are 15 hours a week.  A
little more than 20 hours will be requested to teach, however.  An
hourly pay of 20,000 won will be made for extra hours of teaching.

The universtiy provides health insurance and housing (a furnished room
in a dormitory).  Appointment begins with the Fall 1999 semester
(August 23, 1999).
