Subject:  Gairaigo

Hello

My name is Mirra and I'm a fifth year student in Bulgaria, Sofia
University, Japanese Language and Culture Department. In connection
with my forthcoming graduation thesis, I am collecting data on
gairaigo. My theme is formulated "Loan words in Japanese Language",
but due to the insufficient information in Bulgaria, I'm forced to
look for cooperation elsewhere.

I wish to make a profound study, starting from history background,
present situation, grammar, phonological, lexical and semantic
problems, sociolinguistic aspect of the problem of loan words.  I'm
especially interested in sociolinguistic aspects of the Loan-words -
process of entering Japanese language, the phenomenon of Multilanguage
intercourse, usage of loanwords in Japan, general attitude towards
loan words, loan words in the context of Language Lifestyle and
language behaviour. In case you have information, addresses, e-mails
etc. I'll be deeply grateful to receive them.

Dear colleagues,

Does anyone know un/published studies on gender agreement in French
interlanguage? I already found Carroll (1989) Second Language
Acquisition and the Computational Paradigm but very little else seems
to have been done on gender agreement in French interlanguage.
