Subject: Summer teaching in China

In response to popular demand for teaching short-term in China this
summer, the U.S.-China Educational Exchange is working with a number
of universities and schools in China to create summer English
programs. So far 12 programs have been set up in such places as
Suzhou, Guangzhou, Nanning (Guangxi), Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan,
Shenyang and Tianjin. More sites are being created. Summer teachers
will receive a salary, free housing (and free meals at some sites),
but will be responsible for their own airfare. These opportunities are
particularly suited for people who plan to travel to China
irrespective of teaching. Space prevents us from giving details here,
but if you are interested, please contact Dr. Yong Ho, Director of the
U.S.-China Educational Exchange for a list of the programs,
requirements and descriptions as well as application procedures. His
email address is HSINTL at aol.com and his phone number is 201-432-6861.
