Das Deutsche in Rio Grande do Sul umfasst Verschriftungen und Tondaten
aus einer empirischen Untersuchung aus dem Jahre 1995. Umfang ca. 100
Seiten Verschriftung und 120 Minuten Tonmaterial von 20 verschiedenen
Sprechern (Auswahl), sowie Bildmaterial der SprecherInnen. Zusaetzlich
enthaelt die Arbeit ca. 120 Seiten Analysen und ethnographische
Informationen.

In der von Dr. Michael Duerr (Berliner Gesamtkatalog) und Prof.Dr. Peter
Schlobinski (Universitaet Hannover) neu herausgegebenen CD-Rom-Reihe
TEXT- UND TONBIBLIOTHEK SPRACHLICHER VARIETAETEN / CD-ROM LANGUAGE
LIBRARY werden Tondaten zum einen konserviert und zum anderen mit
Verschriftungen Interessenten zur Analyse zur Verfuegung gestellt. Als
Dokumente im Acrobat-Format sind die Daten betriebs-systemunabhaengig
les- und verarbeitbar, Abspieler von Ton- und Videodaten fuer MacIntosh
und Multimedia-PCs werden als Plug-Ins auf der CD mitgeliefert. Weitere
Informationen und Spezifikationen finden sich im Booklet der jeweiligen
CD-ROM.

Die ersten CDs sind im Kontext der Arbeiten der Reihenherausgeber
entstanden. Die CDs zum Deutschen in Suedbrasilien und Venezuela beruhen
auf ausgedehnten Feldforschungen beruhen. Die CDs zur Jugendsprache und
zum Berlinischen sind 'Nebenprodukte' aus Forschungsprojekten, die vom
selben Herausgeber geleitet wurden bzw. werden. Die CD zum
Itelmenischen, einer Sprache in Kamtschatka (Sibirien), steht im Rahmen
eines gr\246sseren Entwicklungshilfeprojektes und enthaelt ein 'Schulbuch'
mit Ton- und Videodaten. Die CD-ROM sind auf Deutsch (01, 02, 04, 05,
07; siehe unten) bzw. auf English verfasst (03, 08).
