Hi all,

In a lecture the other day, it was noted that many English
Complementizers also perform other syntactic roles, eg
'that' as a pronoun, 'who' as an interogative. The lecturer
left it hanging in the air, and it has therefore had the, I
suppose, desired effect of whetting my curiosity big time.
Are the links here lexically specific? Or was there some
general rule in the past, that opened complementizer flood
gates from other categories?

All views welcome; summary forthcoming.

- Neil

Dear all,

Out in the field, in Guinea (West Africa), I am - to
my surprise - experiencing difficulty locating written
material on the grammar of Sierre Leonean creole
(Krio). Does anyone know of online information of this
kind? If not, could someone possibly send me even the
most cursory tense-aspect system outline?

I appreciate your assistance!
