Call for Papers

Papers are invited either on the conference theme, or in any area of
sociolinguistics, broadly interpreted.  Ordinary paper presentations will
be 30 minutes long, including discussion.  Shorter student presentations
(15 minutes) and poster presentations are also welcome. Those interested in
organising special workshops or symposia should contact the conference
organisers.


Abstract Specifications:

Abstracts should be submitted in two parts. The first part should include
the full-title and an abstract text of no more than 150 words. The
author(s) name(s) should not appear in the text of the abstract. The second
part should give the title of the submission, the authorís name(s), with
address,  e-mail, fax and phone numbers. Please indicate whether you wish
your abstract to be considered for a general presentation, a student
presentation, or a poster.

Abstracts should be submitted by e-mail as an ASCII message containing both
parts of the abstract (no attachments please).

Email abstracts to: langsoc at auckland.ac.nz

If you do NOT have access to e-mail, fax a fully-formatted hard copy of the
abstract and one copy of a separate identification page to 64-9-373-7426,
and send two hard copies to the conference organisers by air mail at:
