Associate or Full Professor in Spanish Applied Linguistics

Associate or Full Professor in Spanish Applied Linguistics, beginning Fall
2000 to direct a large  lower-division Spanish language program,  train the
Spanish teaching assistants and teach in the undergraduate and graduate
programs. The Language Program Director will have a course reduction and
will work in conjunction with a full-time assistant and other course
coordinators.  Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics with specialization in first-
and second-language acquisition; native or near-native fluency in Spanish;
demonstrated excellence in teaching; evidence of scholarly distinction.
Expertise in language curriculum development, materials' preparation,
language testing and educational management and administration.  For full

[EFL Teachers Wanted]

Kyung Hee University at Seoul, Korea, is seeking several qualified EFL
teachers (for the information about the university, refer to

Qualifications: MA in Linguistics, Creative Writing, TESOL or closely
related field; experience in teaching English as a Second Language
and/or experience with TESOL education preferable. BA in one of these
fields with an MA or MS degree also qualified. Interested applicants are

attached), a list of three references, and copies of transcripts and

The successful candidates will be appointed for the term of one year
beginning March 1, 2000, renewable on good standing for the term of two
years. Primary responsibilities include teaching 15 hours of English
conversation and composition classes per week and coordinating EFL
activities in the institute. Monthly salary will be approximately
2,000,000 won. Other benefits include 8 week vacations, health
insurance, and a studio apartment with minimum rental fees.
