POSITION IN PSYCHOLINGUISTICS

The Departments of Linguistics and Psychology at the
University of Calgary seek applications for a joint
tenure-track appointment in psycholinguistics at the level
of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants should have
a research program in an area that encompasses language
disorders. Preference will be given to applicants with
research interests in neurolinguistics/cognitive
neuroscience, language acquisition, or sentence processing.
The successful applicant must be able to teach introductory
courses in linguistics and/or psychology as well as senior
undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of
specialization.

Qualifications:  A Ph.D. in psychology or linguistics and
evidence of effective teaching. The start date for this
position is July 1, 2000.  For more information about our

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago invites
application for a faculty position in syntax and/or semantics.
Applicants at all academic levels, from recent Ph.D's to established
scholars, will be considered.  Responsibilities will include, besides
conducting an outstanding research program that will complement that
of the present faculty, the teaching and supervising of graduate and
undergraduate students.  Interested parties should submit a letter of
introduction, a curriculum vitae, up to three samples of research
