Subject:  French Historical Linguistics

Hi all,

I have two questions for those of you with a knowledge
of French's history:

1.  Did French ever have phonologically-realized
verbal inflections that correspond to the orthographic
inflections in present day?  In other words, did French
display morphological uniformity at an earlier point in
its history?

2.  Was French ever a pro-drop language?

Subject:  Teaching disabled children a foreign language (English)

Dear readers,

I am a fifth year student at the Volgograd Pedagogical University in
Russia. My research concerns acquisition of a foreign language by children
with disabilities. While my work has to do mostly with Russian speaking
disabled children learning English, I would appreciate any references
regarding other languages as well.
