We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

The reason I am asking for information about social class in Greece is
because I am doing my PhD in sociolinguistics and the topic of my
thesis is related to the issue of the definition of social class in
Greece.

I would be grateful for any kind of information concerning the definition of
social class in Post War Greek society (1950-) and even more grateful if
you would provide me with any kind of information concerning relevant
bibliography in the area of social class and child language.

Thank you very much for your cooperation,

Elena Bedisti

Hello,
A student in my undergraduate course on Language & Gender is
preparing a paper on feminization in French. If you are a native speaker of
French from France or Quebec and would like to help her, please fill in her
questionnaire: http://www.aqx.net. The questionnaire is quite short, and I'm
sure she would very much appreciate your help.
	Thanks!
		Julie
