Communication Skills:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons with at least
a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, Communication Studies or
other related fields to teach a course in Communication
Skills/Professional Communication Skills.

The course, which is a compulsory subject in the Bachelor's degree
programmes, is designed to improve the communication skills of the
Computer Engineering and Materials Engineering students. The course
covers aspects of professional communication including business
correspondence, report writing for specific purposes, public speaking
and oral presentation, graphical presentation and displays, job search
skills and managing meetings.

Applicants are expected to have some experience in teaching English for
communicative purposes to students at tertiary levels.

In addition to teaching and related duties, candidates are expected to
be actively involved in research and in publishing academic papers.
