Visiting Assistant Professor Position: Fall 2000

Second Language Education:  Visiting Assistant Professor for Fall 2000
semester.  Ph. D. or ABD in TESL or related field (ABD appointed at
Visiting Instructor rank). Teach 3 courses in ESL at the B.A. and
M.A. level.  Courses may include Program and Syllabus Design, Foundations
in ESL, Second Language Reading, Assessment, and Introduction to
Linguistics. Salary dependent on qualifications and experience. Applicants
must submit application letter, cv, sample syllabi, and names, addresses
and phone numbers of three referees by May 19, 2000 to Dr. Robert Bayley,
TESL VAP Position, Division of Bicultural-Bilingual Studies, University of
