ESL TEACHERS REQUIRED
New Century School, Dongguan, Guangdong, China

New Century School, Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China, is seeking four ESL
teachers for the academic year commencing September 1, 2000. Applications
are invited from suitably qualified candidates for these teaching positions.
Each position is available for one year commencing in late August 2000 and
may be renewable.

Salary: Two categories
(1)Oral English teachers: RMB 5,000 per month (plus housing)
(2)Lead ESL teachers: RMB 10,000 per month (without housing)

Benefits for both categories:
-Round trip air fare yearly
-Medical and dental care at New Century School with transportation to Hong
Kong any more serious problem.
-Van transportation to and from Hong Kong (Lo Hu Railway Station, Shenzhen)
once every month
-Costs of acquiring Chinese work and residence permits
-Reduced tuition for teacher's children attending NCS.

Duties:
-Teaching English approximately 20-25 hours per week
-Developing exemplars of curriculum and teaching materials as required
-Work cooperatively or collaboratively with all teaching colleagues and
administrators at New Century School
-Participate in and contribute to program evaluation as requested
-Attend orientation sessions at New Century School in August 2000.
-Participate in school meetings and events

Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree -preferably in linguistics, education, or English
literature
-Native English Speaker
-Experience in teaching ESL is an asset.
