Summary:

You will be part of a team developing the Nuance speech recognition
system for a wide variety of human languages.  This job emphasizes
linguistics competence and focuses on our pronunciation and
transcription work.  We aim to supply high-quality, broad-coverage
pronunciation dictionaries for all of our languages.

Responsibilities:

- Developing pronunciation models and dictionaries.
- Assuring orthographic transcription quality across languages

Required Skills:

- Specialization in linguistics or speech
- Knowledge of English and one or more other languages
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Perl)

Desired Skills:

- Software development
- Project Management

Education:

- M.A. or higher in Linguistics with specialization in phonetics,
  phonology or computational linguistics
