The Linguistics Department, Memorial University of Newfoundland, is
seeking to make an 8-month appointment as a sabbatical replacement at
the rank of Assistant Professor, effective 1 September 2001.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics with a primary specialization in
syntax and semantics, and if possible a secondary specialization in
language acquisition; a demonstrated record of effective teaching at
both undergraduate and graduate levels, along with graduate
supervision; and an established record of research publications.
Deadline for receipt of applications is February 28, 2001.
