 ==========================================================================
The LINGUIST List strongly encourages employers to use
non-discriminatory standards in hiring policy. In particular we urge
that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity,
nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we
have no means of enforcing these standards.

Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding
employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international
employment page http://linguistlist.org/jobnet.html.

This page has been set up so that people can report on the employment
standards of various countries.

StreamSage believes that our recent advancements, along with several
technological developments of the last few years, have for the first
time made possible the development of an intelligent system to bring
true interactivity to both streaming, digital media and television.
Such a system has the potential to completely revolutionize the
delivery of media - a proposition that has, not surprisingly,
attracted the attention of major on-line and off-line media companies
alike.

StreamSage is now recruiting for new positions within this exciting
effort.

Research positions are available immediately (starting date flexible).
Research focuses on time-based modeling of spoken language for the
purpose of automated digital media manipulation via intelligent,
adaptive algorithms, neural networks, rule-based frameworks, and
large-ontology interpretation.

Candidates should have a strong background in a variety of
computational linguistics techniques. A sufficiently independent
spirit is necessary for use within a startup that develops
state-of-the-art technology. Familiarity with Java is a plus.
Proficient knowledge of the English language is required.
Compensation is competitive, with full benefits and attractive
incentive package.

Please send resume, 2 recommendations, and representative publications
