 The Department of English at National Central University in Taiwan
is seeking two outstanding teachers--scholars in English Teaching
and Learning, especially in the following two fields:

         1. ESL/TESL
         2. Rhetoric/Composition

Doctoral degree is required for both positions, beginning fall 2000,
pending approval.  To apply, please send Resume/CV, transcripts, two
letters of recommendation, a writing sample of about 30 pages, and

Research in French as a second language methodology
Requirements:
Recently acquired Ph.D. in linguistics, applied linguistics or any other
relevant discipline;
Research experience in French as a second language methodology and
publications in the field;
Teaching experience in FSL at the elementary or high school level;
Teaching experience at the university level an asset;
Knowledge of CAAL;
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French.
