The English Section of the Department of Foreign Studies at Kitakyushu
University is seeking one native English speaking instructor starting
April 1, 2001 to serve on a one-year renewable contract for a maximum
total of 5 years. Duties include teaching speech, debate, conversation
and writing. Nine classes weekly, including two evening classes.

Applicants should have an M.A. or Ph.D. in linguistics or TEFL or its
equivalent, with relevent teaching experience. Must be competent in
conversational Japanese. Applicants should have received their B.A.
degree within 8 years of April 1, 2001. Apply with C.V., a list of
publications, including the topics of the M.A. thesis or Ph.D.
dissertation, a maximum of 3 academic papers or books (photocopies
acceptable), certificates of B.A., M.A., and/or Ph.D. degrees, by
September 30, 2000.
