Data Collection Engineer:

Primary responsibility is to provide corpora to support the development
of Conversa's proprietary speech and TTS engines. Additional
responsibilities include the implementation of process and
infrastructure to facilitate the goals of corpora development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·	Experience using signal processing software and/or audio recording
	equipment
·	Excellent people skills, experience working with human subjects a
	plus
·	Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
·	Basic foundation in speech and linguistic sciences including a
	familiarity with one or more foreign languages
·	Experience working in the Windows environment
·	Familiarity with Perl, Visual Basic a plus
·	Bachelor or advanced degree in Speech, Linguistics, or related field
	Principal Duties and Responsibilities
·	Recruit, screen, and work with participants to collect data for
	evaluation and language development
·	Responsible for data management to ensure the integrity of
	Conversa's corpora
·	Manage data collection facilities and associated hardware/software
·	Facilitate the development and maintenance of test suites for speech
	recognition
·	Edit corpora as required
·	Facilitate the development of transcription tools for data
	verification and annotation
·	Regular and predicted attendance and any other duties that may be
	assigned, required, or necessary by Conversa

Additional Information:

·	Must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
·	Must possess strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
·	Must be willing to work extra hours when necessary
·	Must be willing to relocate to Redmond, Washington
