 ==========================================================================
The LINGUIST List strongly encourages employers to use
non-discriminatory standards in hiring policy. In particular we urge
that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity,
nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we
have no means of enforcing these standards.

Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding
employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international
employment page http://linguistlist.org/jobnet.html.

This page has been set up so that people can report on the employment
standards of various countries.

Opening:
I have been asked to compete for a contract for teaching ESL
onsite in a factory setting in NE Philadelphia. If I win this contract,
there will be 2 classes each day, 3 days a week, for 15 weeks. The
contract may or may not be renewed. Classes will probably meet from
12:45 to 2:45 and 3:15-5:15. Details of the exact nature of the class
will be known after an onsite visit is made. The same teacher for both
classes is preferred. Class size will be small, probably not to exceed
6-8 learners in each class.

Qualifications:
The teacher should have a MA or MEd in TESOL and
experience with adult learners and workplace ESL. Knowledge to teach
accent reduction is important.

We offer:
salary commensurate with experience, autonomy in class management with
support from the Director as needed. If the contractis renewd for
another 15 weeks, the teacher will be assumed to have contributed to
this and will get an increase in pay.

To apply, please fax your resume, cover letter and 3 references to me at
215-735-9718, taking care to put my name on the cover page.
