Dear all,

Thanks for paying attention to my question about available research
concerning OT and SLA. I am sorry to say that there aren't many
articles to be found on the subject. The following articles are
actually the only relevant ones:

Broselow, E., S. Chen and C. Wang (1988). "The Emergence of the
unmarked in Second Language Phonology." Studies in Second Language
Acquisition 20: 261-280.

Hancin-Bhatt, B., & Bhatt, R. M. (1997). Optimal L2 syllables:
Interactions of transfer and developmental effects. Studies in Second
Language Acquisition, 19, 331-378.

GOAD, H. Consonant harmony in child language: An optimality-theoretic
account, in Focus on phonological acquisition, S.J. Hannahs & M.
Young-Scholten, eds., Amsterdam: John Benjamins, 1997, pp. 113-142. LB

I hope that these are of any use to you.
Thanks again for repying to my message,

Femke Wester
