Logos Corporation, a leading developer of machine translation software, has
openings for energetic (Computational) Linguists and Lexicographers
specialized in French or German at its Technology Development Center, which
is situated less than an hour from New York City in a pleasant residential
area.

This positions' responsibilities include:
	*	Development and maintenance of computational grammars for
our translation engine;
	*	Developing effective strategies for dictionary development
                by mining parallel and monolingual corpora or machine
                readable glossaries and dictionaries;
	*	Design and development of other linguistic components for
                our translation system;
	*	Providing linguistic expertise for the development of other
                linguistic products and tools.

The ideal candidate will have:
	*	Native or near-native proficiency in English and in French
                or German.
	*	An advanced university degree, with a strong background in
                linguistics and natural language processing.
	*	Experience in language engineering in an industrial or
                commercial setting.
	*	Experience in one or more of the following knowledge areas:
	        machine translation, corpus linguistics, statistical
                language processing, contrastive linguistics, translation,
                computational lexicography, project management,
                tools development.
	*	Ability to work independently and in a team.
	*	Programming skills in Java, C++ and/or Perl.
