Hello,

if you have any information about Macintosh based software that can be
used in support of ESL program, please drop me aline. I am looking for
any type of software at this time, in order to gain an overview, and the
software could be either audio and video CD based. I would also appreciate
URLs (website addresses) if you have any, even though i cannot use the web
conveniently at this time (i have terminal software based access to a
freenet only for the next few weeks). I will post a summary at a later
date, as is customary on this list.

Many thanks & regards: Larry

Dear Listmembers

I am interested in applying lexical priming techniques with bilingual
speakers, to investigate whether prolonged priming in one language (in
this instance we are looking at self-priming, i.e. the subject speaks
language 1 for a prolonged period) will cause any phonetic carry-over
effects when the speaker has to suddenly switch to produce an item in
their other language.

Lexical priming in the litearture has mostly been concerned with
orthographic encoding, speakers with schizophrenia, alzheimers or
different aphasic syndromes, etc. Does anyone have any references to
work with bilinguals and/or phonetic carry-over? I will post a summary
in due course.
